I used to work in the wine industry, I helped build killer e-commerce for direct-to-consumer brands. It was filled with beautiful vineyards and tasting rooms.
One of the things I thought was missing was a great way to discover local wineries. Often times I’d go into the liquor store and just buy a wine that was cheap-enough and had some name recognition. As I started to learn about local wineries and discovered you can get some amazing wine for a decent price.
A lot of these local wineries are a small mom and pop sized businesses, buying directly from them puts way more money in their pockets. You often give up 50% by selling to a distributor. But buying direct gives 100% of that to the winery.
Today's idea is Bottleship a quiz that gives you local recommendations and lets you buy right from it.

Bottleship will show you wine regions nearby, giving you information on the best wines in those regions, and also let you explore the regions a little bit more.
📦 Subscription Service
Sometimes you want to get shipments of wine to keep your fridge stocked. Bottleship allows you to sign up for regular shipments. You are given the ability to choose different wineries on a monthly basis or pause anytime you’d like.
But all wine shipped will be from a local winery.
